Why I Write

I’ve never been good at finding things. Hairbrushes, homework, shoes, oversized pink stuffed animals—you name it, and I probably have lost it. Usually, after frantically searching for several minutes, I convince someone to help me look. And more often than not, they find it immediately. Because it was hidden… in plain sight.

While I may be terrible at seeing things that are right in front of me (If the adage “ If it were a snake, it would have bit me” were true, I would have a lot of scars and medical bills), I tend to see other things that people often miss. When life gets crazy and complicated, it’s easy to overlook the simple things that God wants to show us.

So I write about the obvious, the stuff in plain sight. Because that’s where the most important things usually hide.
